THOUGHT ↔ ACTION
From Analysis to Embodiment
Week 25
Life is Not a Thought Experiment
Moving beyond intellectual understanding into lived experience. The difference between knowing something in theory and feeling it resonate through your entire being. Life cannot be fully grasped by the mind alone—it must be experienced, embodied, and lived.
Week 29
Actions Speak Louder than Assumptions
Who have you been assuming you are? And what do your actions say instead? The gap between self-perception and lived reality reveals important truths. Our actions are the manifestation of our true beliefs, not our intellectual concepts about ourselves.
Week 16
I Have Nothing to Analyze
My first taste of the enjoyment of life, where I went through the day with little attachment to produce tangible results. The relief of stepping away from the constant need to intellectualize and analyze every moment. Sometimes, the greatest insight is the absence of analysis.
"You see, we focus way too much on
Where we're going and
How we look while going there,
When the secret to Life is in
Knowing how to steer,
Who you're with, and
What you'll do
Once you've arrived."

Knowing how to steer,

Reflection
The Plunge into Lived Experience
Soon, I am following beliefs and thoughts with actions, for how could I make these mental structures real in this citizenship in the gross physical world? These physical actions create physical structures about myself and reality. The journey from concept to manifestation requires the courage to act.
Week 31
Problems or Decisions
Whenever you think you have a problem, ask yourself: "Is what I have here really a problem, or a decision that I need to make?" You may discover that what you believe to be a tangled mess of problems is really a list of decisions about how you want to direct your life.
Week 40
The Key to Any Journey is to Start
Any beginning is a worthwhile beginning to your journey. Through your intention of searching, you may discover that in the process of aiming for your destination, the beauty of your path unfolds in magical ways. The first step transforms thought into reality.
Insight
The Roller Coaster of Over-Thinking
I began to question myself: why had I not yet accomplished anything tangible? What was I doing with my time and my life, and what do I have to show for? My ego goaded me to compare myself with others, and taunted me for not moving closer to that direction. I felt like such a failure! This is what happens when we live too much in our heads.
"You only have to connect with
The gifts that come your way every day,
Pay attention when a gift shows up,
And say 'Yes' to invitations
that resonate with you."
The gifts that come your way every day,
Pay attention when a gift shows up,
And say 'Yes' to invitations
that resonate with you."
Week 29
Actions vs. Assumptions
Who have you been assuming you are? And what do your actions say instead? I assumed that I would put career ahead of family, success before ideals, money over ethics. Then I looked at my actions over the years. My actions showed that I had: Become a career nomad to put family first, Created opportunities and success because of ideals, Done the right thing when it didn't pay (or cost me money). I thought I was "self-aware" When I really "self-assume"!
Reflection
Positive Effect vs. Affect
We can think and talk and wax poetic all we want, but until we expend some ATP's (energy units used by our cells) and act – do something that creates a phenomenon in our physical world – we do not have the level of evidence sufficient to prove to our rational minds that our existence has exerted a positive "effect" in the world. Then - no amount of verbalized positive "affect" is going to convert into the needed positive "effect" that constitutes evidence. I'm resting my point on the importance of ACTION as a consequence of any thought processes regardless of expected outcome.
Reflection
The Need for Action
Action is required. However, what I meant in that conversation [...] was strictly in the context of a person who has now moved AWAY from authenticity and is now "selling for the sake of generating money". This is entirely different from attracting like-minded people to you because of a fire you feel deeply within, and people feel that passion, and THEY come to YOU. When you have a message to serve, you must put yourself out there, and share this message, and that in itself is like marketing, except it's based on alignment with your inner values/commitments.
Week 25
Life is Not a Thought Experiment
I have been spending a lot of time in my head. It defeats the purpose of "experiencing". Everything has become more of a thought experiment than an actual experience. Since I am not a theoretical physicist, I am not limited to, don't have to, and need not choose to do Thought Experiments in Life.
"A defining moment is where you step forward, You choose to take responsibility To be the person who makes a difference, One action at a time and One decision at a time."
Reflection
Defining Moment: The Shift to Service
A defining moment comes when you shift from saying "What can I get out of this?" to "How may I serve?" If you say, "IF ONLY I can get my foot in the door! I just NEED an Opportunity! Then surely I can prove myself!" Then you count yourself among countless others who expect defining moments to come delivered by express courier...
Week 30
Putting Energy Behind the Vector
Connect with other people. Get a physical, visceral feel - a real human sense - of "we are not separate". I can't do that alone, in my head. For me, this has to be more than just chanting or meditating on "I am not separate from source"! I need to DO something - put energy behind this vector!
Reflection
Manifesting Illusion
Soon, I am following illusion-supporting beliefs and thoughts with actions, for how could I make these mental structures real in this citizenship in the gross physical world? These physical actions create physical structures about myself and reality. I begin dressing a certain way, behaving with certain mannerisms, and harboring certain beliefs, that reinforces illusion's hold.
