INNER ↔ OUTER
Where Inner Wisdom Meets Outer Expression
Week 4
Imbalance within Integration
Self-reflection and thinking are elements of my inner world. Physically interacting with people are elements of my outer world. Marinating in my inner world can hurt me when I don't balance this with manifestations in my outer world. When left unchecked, this imbalance perverts the sanctity of itself.
Week 20
Reuniting with Inner Wisdom
Can a person as neurotic, analytical, and hyper self-critical—when left to their own devices—reunite with their inner wisdom? This journey is about finding your way home to yourself. The inner wisdom has always been there, waiting beneath the noise of the outer world.
Insight
Making the Inner Real in the Outer
When working from center, I am engaging my Heart Mind at the helm. I am deploying my Intellectual Mind to make real in my outer world what my Heart Mind knows in my inner world. This is the bridge between the two realms.
"What makes life Life is
everything that happens between
compartments and caches,
not the compartments themselves."
everything that happens between
compartments and caches,
not the compartments themselves."
Week 5
Two Universes: Subjective and Objective
The Subjective Internal Universe: Context, Process, Path, Intuition, Subtle, Hidden, Yin, Non-Physical. The Objective External Universe: Content, Ambition, Destination, Drive, Goals, Achievement, Yang, Physical. I can easily lose myself in either half of this duality. But Life is not found in compartments—it's what happens between them.
Week 22
Happy Blend of Head and Heart
My Intellectual Mind makes real in my outer world what my Heart Mind knows in my inner world. My Heart Mind and my Intellectual Mind are working together—collaborating—exchanging—in dialog. The outer becomes the manifestation of the inner.
Reflection
The Need for Human Presence
To fully engage with and experience a field of creativity and evolving consciousness, I don't just want human contact—I need it. Avatars and screen names can't quench my thirst for human presence. The inner life requires outer connection to remain vital.
Week 33
Follow Your Hunch
Following your hunches and allowing amazing acts to follow. Following your hunches to share and to seek. When you pick up a clue that puzzles you, pay attention anyway. You may be called to help someone else. The inner knowing guides outer action.
"The fingers get connected
to the voiceless voice in my heart,
start writing or typing.
Then afterwards I'm like
'daaaaaaang! where did that come from?'"

Week 4
Imbalance within Integration
I did not have a face-to-face, "real life" conversation with another adult human being. I've been on the telephone, in teleconference, on email and the web... Many of the other items on my "love to do" list require me to get in front of people... technology is no substitute for live contact with human beings. [...] Self-reflection and thinking... are elements of my inner world. Physically interacting with people... are elements of my outer world. Marinating in my inner world can hurt me when I don't balance this with manifestations in my outer world.
Week 5
Two Universes: Internal & External
I live with Two Universes: "The Objective" (External Universe, Content, Ambition, Destination...) and "The Subjective" (Internal Universe, Context, Process, Path...). I can easily get caught up in either "The Objective" or "The Subjective". I can easily lose myself in either half of this duality. But I know Life is not like that. [...] What makes life Life is everything that happens between compartments and caches.
Reflection
Brad Bird's Insight
BB [Brad Bird] "trying to get audience to experience how things feel rather than how things are." Aiming for the primal, nourishing human aspect of being alive. (Highlights conveying inner feeling via outer medium).
"The degree of 'outer world peace' we see today is simply a reflection of the degree of 'inner world peace' we live within ourselves."
Week 35
Outer World Peace Begins Within
We can achieve world peace through the only thing we truly can change – ourselves. The degree of "outer world peace" we see today is simply a reflection of the degree of "inner world peace" we live within ourselves. Therefore, can any of us be surprised at the lack of peace see in the world, when most of us don't feel that way within? Put $ behind Gandhi's popular statement, "Be the Change You Wish to See in the World." Conscious Evolution of the World, One Person at a Time, Starting with One Self.
Week 20
Connecting with Inner Peace
I am not looking to "test drive" anyone's theory. I am not looking for happiness. What I am doing, through these 366 days of living and contemplation, is connecting with my inner world peace. [...] You can say that what I am trying to do this year is "finding my way home".
Reflection
Connecting with Self
Connecting with Your Self includes connecting with your spiritual/sacred body (Fire), physical body (Earth), mental body (Air), and emotional body (Water). This involves awareness, dreams, meditation, serving the body, changing the mind, and healing emotional scars.
Reflection
Outer Reflection of Inner State
(Regarding the impact of psychosis/holiness) "...the illusion of division between and among us begins to break down..." This suggests the inner state (extreme psychosis or holiness) can project outward and influence others, breaking down perceived outer boundaries.
